Al-Rajhi Biotech Project is a privately owned Commercial Plant Tissue Culture company and a member of Al-Rajhi Saudi Group. Formed in 1990, Al-Rajhi Saudi Group is very reputed company in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and diversified in a wide range of businesses. Al-Rajhi Biotech Project is established to provide a platform for agricultural developments by implementation of modern Biotechnology application. Project's main aim is to raise and maintain the superior varieties of commercially and economically important plants.

Al-Rajhi Biotech Project's trade name is CLONE BIOTECH. Biotech Project consists of most modernized Plant Tissue Culture Laboratory, which is furnished with most advance Instrumentation facilities. Practice of Plant Tissue Culture techniques (Micro propagation) has changed the approach
of plant propagation. At mass scale, propagation of commercially valuable plants is being carried out by Tissue Culture methods (in-vitro). Moreover, Biotech project is utilizing recent biotech tools with the help of world-class expertise team to ensure quality product.

At present, Clone Biotech is concentrating on micro-propagation of wide range of commercially important plants, especially Date Palm, (Phoenix dactylifera), potato plantlets, banana, pine apple, figs etc. Project is also dealing with production of floricultural, aromatic, trees and medicinal plants.
